there isn't an awful lot anyone can really say about chopsticks. These were finely made. I purchased two gift sets. They arrived promptly. One set for my daughter/husband and children.One set for myself. My father taught me at age 4 how to use Chopsticks. I taught my daughter.My granddaughter is turning 3, by age 4, she will be using these daily.Very rare is it that I eat with a fork, my diet is Chopstick " worthy" * me, my house.These Chopsticks are beautiful in natural tones, stained, NO Lacquer high gloss.I do not like lacquer glossy coatings on chopsticks, it's synthetic, it's not good.They are hand wash easy. These are very simple sturdy wood chopsticks, respectthem by hand washing them. I would not put these in the dishwasher. It's not necessary.For who wishes to know, they are " 9 inches in length"The Paddle is a bonus. It works so well with my wok ! Rice, Veggies -it's a Happy marriage.My daughter opened her gift yesterday. She LOVED. My granddaughter chose her set.I knew which, she did yes pick. The golden tone, " yellow" - she loves Yellow.Best purchase ever !Thank you so much for a quality gift that will continue to give for many years to come.

I was really happy with this set. I found it after being given a $5 limit on the office grab bag. I thought, "what on earth can you buy for $5 these days other than a $5 gift card to Starbucks?" Turns out, you can buy a really cute chopsticks gift set!The set is simple and appeals to a variety of tastes. The rice paddle is also a really good addition and really adds to it. Because I never ended up using it myself, I can only speak to the appearance of the set. It came simply but very nicely packaged, perfect for giving as a gift. I was so happy with the purchase, I was almost hoping to end up with the set, myself! But I'll be content with my $5 Starbucks gift card and enjoy the gift of finding a unique present at an awesome price.

Like the chop stick set. A few had sticker issues though, and it took a lot of effort to get the glues off. While a few others the little sticker wrap slid off easily. / They're probably not good for dishwasher or what not, but people who would put them in dishwashers don't have a dang clue in the first place. You just put them all together in a cup, soak them for a minute w/ soapy water, then finger clean them. I love this little chopper set, and they're perfectly sized and nicely durable. My wife knows I get the black ones first. HA! I've been wanting a nice stick set for a while. A nice chop stick set. Colors variable.

I ordered this set to replace a set of chopsticks we have had for years. When I ordered them I was not really expecting much, But when they came in I got online and ordered another set. Bit of a warning though, order them a while before you need them. When they arrived the lacquer smell was so strong it forced us to vacate the room and open a window. After a couple hours the smell was only really on the box, after three or four days the smell was gone completely(Note: If a wood product still smells like the finish, don't wash them or use them yet, it means they are not dry and you will ruin them). As a gift, I would have to say they are not for snobs, but for a couple college girls, or people who don't look to reuse gift wrap, they are perfect.

I like the "natural'ness" of these chopsticks and rice paddle. No plastic or unnatural products here. I think they were made in Japan though I cannot guarantee it. I try not to purchase from China especially when it comes to cooking and food.My one beef is that the tips of the chopsticks aren't very slender and I like a fine tip on my chopsticks. I'm half Japanese and fussy that way.So if you need extra around the house and don't want to spend a ton this is the set for you. However, if I had to do it over I probably would have bucked up for ones with slender tips. No way of knowing that when ordering online however.

Looked excellent coming out of the package. There were no signs of abrasion after being put though the dishwasher. The sticks have maintained their color through at least 4 encounters with the dishwasher. This is impressive.The finishes look like natural wood colors and the finish on all of the pieces is smooth and without any obvious abnormalities from production. The chopsticks and paddle are of standard length and size. The eating points of the chopsticks are a bit thicker than some designs but still have a taper. These resemble a combination of vietnamese square-tip and the more tapered Japanese style. They are very easy to use and the finish and shape do very well with noodles and sauces.
