Caution, This product uses a mix of SAE and ISO hardware
Installation was pretty simple. Till you need a longer bolt and thinking bolt being used were M6 x 1 because you use a 10mm, wrench to tighten them.Surprise, you're making another run to the hardware counter because someone decided to mix a, 1/4 - 20 threads with metric hex on both bolt and nut ?????Fooled even the best of us.It would be a lot nicer if you just used STANDARD ISO or SAE for bolts and screws.The review would have been all five stars.Also knowing what drill size to use to pass the wire through the mounting substrate would have been very helpful.This was going on a yacht.

Awesome Deal!
The antenna itself is very stout and heavy. I wouldn't say the mount is flimsy, it holds the antenna fine. The only problem I could see is that I will be tilting this down every time I store the boat and I could see the plastic teeth wearing out over time. Eventually I may replace the mount with a stainless one, but I still won't complain because this is much cheaper than other antennas. If you are going way off-shore, you may want to consider something higher quality just to be sure it transmits correctly, but for my inshore use, this should be great!

Neede a new antenna for my UHF boat 2 way and this did the trick without being 8 feet long. Works good.
