Air King 9126 16-Inch Adjustable Oscillating Pedestal Fan

We had a previous version of Air King and this does not compare with the originals power. Overall a decent fan but wish it had the same output of our original which was purchased at Staples.

I bought the 16” floor model of this fan 2 years ago and worked perfectly straight out of the box. That purchase inspired me to buy the stand fan version thinking it would work just as well but I was wrong. The first one I received the blade was made incorrectly and shook like crazy, I sent it back and 2 weeks later my replacement arrived but this time the wires were pulled out of the speed switch. I was able to fix it myself instead of waiting another 2 weeks but I expected much better quality control from what used to be a reputable company and the fact it’s $80. Besides the horrible quality control when you have a functional unit it is a great fan that blows a ton of air, much more than anything you can buy at a store today and is relatively quiet as well. I only give two stars since it is a very good fan but build quality from the factory is extremely poor

We've had this fan for a bit over a year now, and it's still going strong--even though it has been run quite a lot! (As in, has been used on most days, and left on 4 to 6 hours at a time, perhaps more, during hot weather.) It was not too hard to assemble, either. Over all, seems to be of decent quality.Update--it is now September, 2014, and the fan has been in fairly heavy use for four summers. It is now worn out and will probably need to be discarded. Users would periodically change the position of the fan (e.g. to blow air up or down) -- the plastic casing and plastic rear grille did not withstand these position changes well; plastic fan blades began scraping against rear plastic grille. I will see if I can fix it, but doubt that I can. For as expensive as this fan was ($60 to $70 when I purchased in 2011), I think it should have been sturdier and lasted longer. (Though the motor did continue to function.) Wish I had bought an all-metal fan. I am changing overall rating from 5 stars to 3 stars.

I like it for the air volume but the oscillation died long ago. I'm sure it was within warranty but Texas summer is not the time to return a fan that blows hard. The twisting back and forth part on the unit died a few months after we got it but like I said this thing is a hurricane and really helps with the heat even without the back and forth so we kept it. Would I get another one? Probably and not use the swivel on it except for "special" occasions. The engineering on the swivel part needs work.

This is a good solid fan that has lasted a long time in a dusty room. Very easy to clean and runs fairly quiet. It is not a monster air pusher, so if you need maximum air flow, then you might want to get a bigger, faster, and more expensive (and noisier) fan. But if you want a quality, reasonably priced fan that will last a few years and push a lot of air, this is it.

The place where I work had one, so I figured if it works great at work then it would work great in my home. I like it even more at home than at work. It's was way worth it.

I recently bought the Air King 9119, which is the 18" version of this fan and it appears to be the same fan with 16" blades. The motor appears to be the same ball bearing motor that is in the larger 18" model. It only draws .75amp on high while moving plenty of air.CFM: 1580(H), 1420(M), 1220(L)

When you need a fan to cool off, this could be the one for you. Air King fans work very well and I was very surprised by the the air power that they have. They are more of a commercial grade fan and really help to cool off a room in a hurry. I highly recommend this model and the 16" table top version.
