Prism Backdrop by Ravelli 6x10' White Muslin Photo Video Background, 100% Cotton, 150GSM Weight, Flocked on One Side, (5.7x9’ after pre-shrinkage)

This works well for the setup I have, but it did come very wrinkled. The wrinkles are pretty difficult to get out, particularly where it's such a large piece of fabric. I've been working to iron it all. As other people said, it is thinner fabric and I'm sure it would be easy to sew something like this yourself if you wanted to just buy a large piece of fabric and sew the rod pocket. But for the price, it will work well! UPDATE (9/14): The company sent me a complimentary sample of the new product that is replacing this item on Amazon. It's thicker and better quality. The wrinkles release out more easily (also, it helps to shine a lot of light on the backdrop as well). I'll attach a photo of the new version of this product.

I'm kind of surprised at the quality of this. I wish I would have opened it sooner, I made the mistake of putting it in a drawer until I needed it. It's so wrinkly and creased that I'm not sure I can even iron it flat. It has runs and loose strings in it. And it's fairly sheer. I admit I'm at fault for not inspecting it right away. I would return it if it were in the window of time. I might still try. But if you want a quality white backdrop for close up pics, this is not the backdrop for you. There is a reason for the low price.

***Update 8/26/16*** Do you know what customer service is? Customer service is listening to your customers concerns about your product. Customer service is going back to the drawing board to come up with the best product. This is exactly what this company did. 2 years plus after the fact, they reached out to me to express their regret that I was not completely satisfied with the initial product I purchased. They informed me, that they had recently made some improvements in quality and wanted me to test out the new product. I am very impressed with this new backdrop. The quality of the product is 5 stars and the light leak is completely gone. This new backdrop may ship with wrinkles, but a few minutes with a steamer and it looks like it was pressed at the cleaners. I have attached two new photos one of my wife and one of the backdrop itself so you can see the size of this thing. Triple A+ to Cheetah Mounts! ******************* Check out the photo I uploaded for an example of what you can do with this. The product isn't quite 6', the one I received was about 5'9" but I'm not going to write the president about it. You will have to steam it or iron it like most have stated if you don't want to fix the wrinkles in post. I just busted it out and started shooting, but I think the results will speak for themselves. Took about 3 minutes in photoshop to fix it.

*edit* -the company contacted me to inform me they have upgraded their product. They sent me the new version for free. I have not tried it yet but upon first inspection it's much thicker and looks better quality. *original* The material is thin and you will have to be careful to make sure peoples shoes are clean (but then that just comes with any white backdrop) Needs "cleaned" and smoothed in editing but overall does its job. Not terrible for the price.

Black screen is slightly thicker and more opaque than the white screen that I bought. Can't see through it anyhow. The white screen I can see my hand through it. Not too great. They're both a bit on the thin side but not too bad for $12 each. If they had been $20 though for this quality I'd have considered them overpriced. The ephoto green screen I purchased was frankly better but that seems to be the case with a lot of screens on here. Buy a green screen and it's usually pretty thick. Buy a black muslin and it's not too bad. Buy a white muslin and you can almost see through it? I really don't understand why two screens from the same maker can be different in quality. You'd think they'd be exactly the same except for color?

I think I've given up on trying to purchase a decent backdrop on Amazon. It's not a reflection on Amazon, rather the array of junk, made in China, backdrops that clog up the search results. This is the third attempt to buy a decent quality, reasonably priced, muslin for portrait work. This is the third time I've been disappointed. As usual the reviews are mostly glowing but then one has to wonder how the muslin is being used and the experience level of the user. I've been shooting for years, I've done many portrait sessions, I know how to light a subject and a background. This muslin doesn't get it done and is really just the same as others I've used. It's thin, translucent, wrinkly, and poorly sewn. Good in a pinch, expose it properly and it should deliver ok, but definitely poor quality construction and material. No more discount bin muslins, time to part with some real $$ for a real backdrop.

This is my first backdrop. I'm not sure what to look for, but I had every expectation that it would be better than the tri-board I had been using. All I need is something to block the background visual clutter when I'm filming and photographing products for review. This muslin backdrop does nicely. It's very large (6 feet wide, 10 feet long), and it comes in a protective bag. Yes, it was wrinkled when I got it. I steamed them out, but there are some wrinkles left. I don't care. I did a video the other day, and I don't notice at all. I suppose if it really bothered me, I could iron them out.

This is a very nice backdrop. It is very white and is a thicker muslin so the effect is about right in photos. As others have noted, it comes folded so it is wrinkly but it took about 15 minutes to steam iron out. I can't figure out how a heavy weight muslin could avoid wrinkles unless they shipped it as a 6' roll. But imagine the expense of shipping it or the 10 ft backdrop! Seems like a little ironing is well worth it. It comes in a plastic bag inside a cloth bag (inside a box of course) and is well protected for both shipping and storage. For those who don't leave the backdrop up, I would suggest a trip to your local carpet retailer. They often have the 4" cardboard tubes that carpet is shipped on. Just make sure it's clean (or wrap it in plastic) before rolling the backdrop onto it.

Huge for the price and very worth the money, great material for a starter and are very quick to help you with any problems or worries about your product. Very happy buy

Ottimo materiale, non sfilacciato e le cucitare sono di ottima fattura. Va ovviamente stirato prima dell'uso e arrotolato altrimenti rimangono tutti i segni delle pieghe che in foto non sono gradevoli. Consiglio di conservarlo arrotolato. Aggiornamento: Il venditore ha notato la recensione e mi ha scritto per scusarsi dell'accaduto. In realtà, non mi aspettavo niente del genere, per la spedizione è chiaro il telo vada piegato. Si è offerto di rimborsarmi il 20% del prodotto. Ottima attenzione del cliente da parte di quest'azienda, non faccio altro che confermare il buon prodotto.

Les dimensions annoncées des produits : 2m X 3m avec une mise en garde, après lavage rétrécissement de +ou- 0.30m. Les dimensions des produits livrés : 1.7m X 2.7m et le tout dans un état de propreté déplorable taches et traces noires sur le tissu blanc, traces blanches et insectes écrasés sur le tissu noir.. Pas trop chère mais pas trop net. Suite à mon commentaire le service clientèle Prism Backdrops, m'a présenté ses excuses pour les désagréments, remboursé ma commande et m'a envoyé gratuitement 2 nouveaux fonds plus grands (AMW1012, AMB1012) sans aucun retour de produits exigé et alors que je ne demandais rien... Remarquable de sérieux et de professionnalisme... ça c'est du commerce. Je rajoute 2 étoiles pour ce suivi client mené de main de maître et pour les nouveaux fonds qui sont "nickels".

Relación calidad precio excepcional. Viene con una funda muy útil para guardarlo con una ventana transparente. Una vez planchado queda perfecto para utilizar de fondo blanco.
