Glass 20-oz Beer Mug, Clear, Set of 6

I've had one of these glasses for years and always wanted more, but never could find out who made it. I like it so much I would never let the kids touch it. It was mine and only mine, LOL. When I found them on Amazon I had to order them right away. Well, they just arrived and in perfect condition, thank you Amazon! They look great! and are much thicker than other brands that I have ordered. I am so happy to support an American company and to know that company takes serious their commitment to quality. In my opinion, glass is the best material to drink from because it does not leach chemicals. Plastic and many metals are loaded with chemicals that CAN leach into the distilled water that I prefer to drink. As you may know, distilled water, when exposed to air containing carbon dioxide (CO2), can absorb the CO2 and form a weak acid called carbonic acid (H2CO3). It's not at all harmful, it's rain water. Others have commented on the mold lines from the manufacturing process being visually unpleasing. I don't feel that way at all. You can see them if you look, but I'm not so sure that I would have ever noticed if they weren't brought to my attention. Each glass is uniform in size, shape and thickness which I appreciate. I did not notice any air bubbles, chips or cracks. These 20oz mugs are easy to wash by hand because I can get my hands into them. They hold a lot of water, but don't take up too much space in my cabinets. Great job Anchor Hocking! Now I have 7 of them. One for each day of the week. Still not going to let the kids touch them, LOL.

I've ordered a number of different things from the Anchor Hocking company and I haven't been disappointed yet. They make great quality glassware for very affordable prices, and these beer mugs are of to the same quality as every other item I've purchased. I can honestly say I was shocked at how nice the mugs were when they arrived. They are large and heavy, very thick and look like something you would see at a restaurant or tavern. These make for outstanding root beer float mugs and beer mugs. I purchased a few sets to fill with candy and give out as prizes at a party. For the kids, I filled them with root beer gummies and mini bags of Jelly Belly Soda Pop Shoppe Jelly Beans . For the adults I filled each one with mini chocolate candy bars and fire Jolly Ranchers. I then put each of the mugs filled with candy inside a gift bag and included either a bottle of A&W Root Beer or a glass bottle of orange cream soda inside. Because these mugs are so nice, the gifts looked even more expensive than they were. They were a big hit and everyone loved them. The mugs are so nice we saved two for ourselves. They will be PERFECT for making root beer floats on hot summer days!

We first bought these Anchor Hocking mugs about 15 years ago, to use to make mug muffins in the microwave. We have used them every day, and they have stood up well over the years and still look new. We like the 20 oz size, the flat bottom that doesn't collect water in the dishwasher, and the comfortable handles. After constant use, two of them broke (our fault; dropped one, and put boiling water in the other chilled mug). Initially we couldn't find the Anchor Hocking mugs and bought another brand of mugs a couple weeks ago. We were very disappointed with the other mugs and returned them. Fortunately when we looked closely at our older mugs, we saw the brand name and were able to find them on Amazon. These mugs are thick and sturdy and our older ones have survived multiple drops and other rough handling that breaks other thinner glasses.

Nice, high quality mugs. That said, 2 of the 6 mugs had chips and a small crack in the rim. The other 4 deserve a 5 star. Fortunately, I only needed 4.

I was looking for a mug like you see in movies, where they down a big ol’ glass of beer with a fat head of foam on top and slam it down and shake the whole table. THIS IS IT! I’m telling you these things work your bicep and give you an excuse to skip the gym that day. All jokes aside these are some seriously durable mugs with weight on them with a good amount of capacity, I was able to fit a whole can of Guinness and it was about 3/4 full. The handle is very ergonomic and there’s plenty of space for your fingers. I think it’s definitely worth the price and if I received this as a gift I’d be very happy.

We love the thickness and weight, the rounded handles that let all four fingers hold the mug! The diameter is large enough to get my arthritic hands and sponge in to clean them . That was important.

Great mugs. Very sturdy just what I expected from this manufacturer. Good price too. Just beware they are a bit heavy

Not happy ! 1st of glasses all good, 2nd box two broken and two damaged , so 4 useless it would cost me more than we paid for them to send them back to the US! So will think hard before ordering again from overseas!

I was looking for well made mugs, and I found them. Excellent quality and perfect for dishwasher.

Got them for my husband to better enjoy his beer. I use them for milk. Put them in the freezer and they make for a wonderful chilled beer or other drink.

These were purchased for a group of people that wanted the mugs all etched with their positions on a committee. They were thick enough to be able to etch with no issue. Mugs looks great and everyone loves them.
