My third purchase of these. Good quality.
These hold the charge for a good amount of time in my Luminara candles.

If all goes well, these will be cost effective.
Device Test: 8 LED Holiday Candelabras for windows 3 LED "flickering" lights per Candelabra 6 hours per night via internal timer 3 size C Tenergy rechargeable batteries per Candelabra [3x8=24 batteries] I purchased 3 packs (24 batteries) to fuel 8 LED window candelabras. Regular alkaline batteries will last about 24 days, running 6 hours per night via timer, which I usually start the second week of DEC to get through New Years. Those get disposed, and due to cost of new batteries, I usually put the candles away until next year. This year I started the candles the second week of NOV, and plan to run them all winter until sometime in March. In comparison to alkaline disposables... I should only need to recharge about five times. I'll provide an update in a couple of months on how long they last before needing recharging, and how many times I need to recharge. What I can say is that they charged very well, with no "duds". They have been working now for almost a week, and appear to be discharging just fine. The batteries arrived undamaged, with no leaks or obvious defects.

Long Lasting Solid Charge...So Far
This review is for both the Tenergy T-1199B AA/AAA/C/D/9V NiMH NiCD Battery Charger and Tenergy 8 pcs C Size 5000mAh high capacity high rate NiMH Rechargeable batteries...I purchased these together (from Battery Superstore) for use in my older GE 3-6025A Stereo "Boom" box. I am on my first charge of the "C" batteries which have lasted over month now with daily use of about an hour or two. I used to get about 2-3 months use from standard batteries. I am hoping to get the same or better results from these batteries and charger. Longevity and maintaining a charge is the real test of quality...I will update regularly for at least the first year of use. Using the charger, the batteries already appear to be of good quality and able to sustain a solid charge. The charger has performed well although it is large and rather slow. In fact, following the instructions, when charging "D" batteries you have to charge "D" batteries twice. And if this isn't difficult enough, taking 16 hours, you have to watch the time yourself then remove the batteries from the charger after the first 8 hours, unplug the charger, replug in the charger and reinsert the "D" batteries for another 8 hours. Also, 9V batteries are charged entirely on a manually (you time and remove batteries) cycle taking 10-15 hours to charge and, of course, the instructions warn you to remember to remove the 9V batteries from charger as not to overcharge and damage the batteries. Otherwise, the charger works just fine and easily for other batteries. The charger takes about 8 hours to fully charge batteries and then automatically enters a "trickle" charge mode. So, for my purposes, using these "C" batteries, I am happy enough with the charging capabilities of the charger. So far, I am happy with both of these Tenergy products - 3 Stars for the Charger, 4 Stars for the batteries. To reiterate, I will update any concerns or issues that may occur during at least the next year.

Lasts a long time between charging
I bought an auto-open trash can requiring four โCโ batteries. I used to use โCโ batteries in my Roomba virtual wall but a trash can is an item that is used many times in a day and I didnโt want to be replacing batteries often. I found these batteries to be very useful and effective and they lasted a long time between charging (more than several months) and while I bought an extra set for between charges but it really wasnโt necessary because of the length between charges is longer than I expected.

Can't get enough of them
When my son was born he used a mobile/light show to sleep, this thing eats batteries, so the quickest and most logical solution was rechargeable batteries. We bought a set of these two and half years ago, a few months ago they started losing their edge a little, that is to say they slowly and surely started to require swapping out less and less (used to last for a week or longer). We purchased a new set of these and they're now running back to back for 8-12 days a time. He still uses the mobile for the lights. Considering the constant recharges we've made over the past few years and the zero issues we've faced with these batteries and taking into consideration the costs of eight of these, I found this product astonishingly good value. Considering that we also have the AA series batteries as well with the same return on investment, I would go as far to say that I wouldn't purchase rechargeable batteries from any other vender, with the assumption of "sticking to what you know".

Saves money, but changing batteries is annoying
In a nutshell: intial cost outlay is higher than traditional batteries, but we are saving money over time. But these drain quickly and are turning out to be a pain in the neck. I purchased 2 packs of 8 batteries (16 batteries totat) to power my toddler's night light sound machine. Now that he's older and has figured out how to turn on the toy, we were going through regular batteries like crazy. These are OK - they work well in the toy (haven't tried them in anything else), but we are now having to change the batteries EVERY DAY. This is really a hassle when you've got a screaming/crying toddler fussing for his toy. We have 16 batteries (this device takes 4 C batteries at a time) and we ALWAYS have a set of 4 in the charger. They take about 6-8 hours to fully charge, but then within 24 hours they are totally drained and need charging again. So, the constant battery changing is annoying, but at least we are not buying batteries every few days. So it comes down to effort vs. cost savings and money wins every time.

Excellent purchase
I own an outdoor pest repellant that requires 4 C batteries. Whether I purchased the most expensive or the least; even if i purchased the freshest; I found the alkaline batteries dieing after 10 - 14 days. I need to have the unit on at all times; and the battery cost was a getting to be very expensive. After reading the reviews for these batteries I decided to give them a try. I also purchased a Tenergy Universal Charger. After discharging and charging the batteries; I placed them in the unit. It has been almost a month; and the first set of batteries that I placed in the unit are still going strong. I'm glad this is an eight pack; it allows me to run the unit at all times without break due to charging. I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. After seeing how well these have worked and hold a charge, I plan to purchase more in different sizes and replace the alkaline batteries in all of my battery powered devices. I had never heard of the brand before. I've never seen them in any store. Before purchasing them I went to the company's site as well as read other reviews on the web. From what i have read Tenergy makes a really great product. And the price is very comparable. In most cases, their batteries are the same price or lower than he more famous name brand.
