Completely necessary tool for perler bead crafts!!
I'm really not sure why some people found this tool unnecessary. I read some pretty "meh" reviews so was a bit skeptical when I received it. As soon as I started working with the beads, I found my naturally thin, graceful fingers fumbling hopelessly with the beads, knocking them over and causing a lot of frustration. I got the bead boxes which separate the colors (thank goodness) and the scoop was EXTREMELY helpful in getting the beads out. Once I started using the tool, my crafting sped up so fast. What I do is pick up a few with my left hand and grab them with the tweezers before putting them on the board. The tweezers have pegs at the end which are specifically designed to pinch and place up to 2 beads at a time (from the top). If you love perler crafts then these are a must-have!!

Handy, dandy little plastic tweezer
I hate trying to pick up beads with a tea spoon. They roll all over the place or jump off the spoon once I capture them. When I got this little fella I thought it seemed kind of puny, but it proved to be sturdy. The size is great. With a tweezer and a scoop on one tool I can corral just about any small beads, pearls, etc. quickly and easily. It is on my work table at all times as it saves me a lot of effort since I no longer am crawling around on the floor trying to find the beads that escape my tea spoon. Great purchase.

Two Stars
It's helpful but hard to grip.

Fun for play but not really functional
I thought the same thing that other reviewers did, it flipped the beads across the room when I tried to pick them up with these but my daughter didn't have any trouble with them and enjoyed using them. She also really enjoyed the scoop but I didn't see any use for it myself. I think she just liked the play factor :) I don't think I would buy it again because it's just as easy for me to use my fingers but I guess if you have very big fingers or no nails it might be a problem so it's an individual choice.

Perler Bead Tweezer Plus
I purchased this product so I can help my wife sort Perler Beads. As I have large hands it is difficult to grasp and manipulate the small beads so I got this this tool to aid me in that endeavor. And it has achieved that task wonderfully. The tool is multipurpose as it has a scoop on one end to scoop up beads and tweezers on the other end to help grip them. The tweezers end itself has two functions as there are grooves for the beads to fit in or you can pinch them using the nubs on the end. I will say this, you must use a somewhat light touch. As others have stated, if you pinch too hard it will send the beads flying. However, too light, and you drop them. I found that after a few minutes I struck the proper balance and we were able to maintain a good sorting rhythm. Pros: -serves multiple functions -very inexpensive (I spent something like $3 on mine) Cons: -requires some patience and finesse to get used to Overall, if you have large hands like I do (or just don't like messing with those tiny beads by hand) pick this gem up. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Perfect tool for kids and parents!!
I purchased this for my 9 year old niece for her birthday and she was excited to use it. However, my brother in-law was even more excited as he is the one that usually gets stuck picking up all of the little beads after she's done playing with them. I think my niece was excited about the tweezer part and my brother in-law was excited about the scoop part. All and all it was a hit!!

Troublesome tweezers
First off I am not blaming the seller but the product. Fact is these tweezers kind of suck. They aren't the worse they can easily pick up beads but I find them to be problematical. For one thing the nib at the end are too small to get a firm grim on beads so you'll either drop them or like me squeeze to hard and fire off beads in your room, thus loosing them. I find the scoop is okay but I rarely ever used it, most of the time I would just use my hands and pour out a pile of beads for myself to use. Overall, invest in something better. You can get a pair of tweezers from Revlon and they work way better. I used that and I was able to grip and layout beads at a much faster rate since my tool was not fighting me.

Great dog chew toy!
Haha...I have gone through so many of these because my kids think they belong on a floor. Dogs love to chew on these. But, this should be a review on the tweezer and how they are...and honestly, they're great! We use perler beads a lot for many crafts and these are such life savers as you're getting down to the last little bit and you can't fit your fingers in to get those beads to lay right! The scooper on the end? I am not finding it overly useful as the beads roll, but hey - the tweezers themselves - awesome!
