I enjoy the smell of this product. As far as for hold, I have thick hair, short hair, and the way I do my hair it doesn't quite hold the way I want it to. I do reccommend this, the price will be worth it, especially if you have thinner hair.

I've used gel, pomade, paste, mousse, spray, etc - this is the best pomade I've used. I don't have to use as much as other products, it doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or oversaturated with product. My hair is shiny and manageable - the hold is soft to the touch but strong to last me through 12-15 hours of work from the office to the bar.

Haven’t found a better pomade. Functions perfectly every time with very little product. Last my months. It’s my go to for short hair styles but I like their liquid pomade for longer cuts.

I love the “Purefume” scent of most Aveda products. This is no exception. With daily use, this will last a good six months for a person with relatively short hair. I cannot comment on longevity for someone with longer hair. So, while it may seem expensive upfront, consider that you can easily get 150 uses out of one purchase. The quality is outstanding. My hair is relatively thick, and this product makes it hold in place all day. I don’t use a hair dryer, but my sister has used this, and it also works fairly well with some of the other Aveda products when using a blow dryer. You will “stank purty.”

Excellent product leaves hair shiny but not greasy, I had a touch on hair spray as my hair is thin and it looks really good. I have been using different products for years and have been using exclusively this one for over a year now.
