When I got my Samsung Galaxy S3 a few years back, one of the first things I did was plug in the aux cable and use it in my car. It worked awesome, until I got my BMW Z4 Coupe. The aux connection just wouldn't work correctly between my phone and the car. I tried all sorts of crazy solutions and ended up with one good one that involved this adapter! I wrote a lengthy blog post about this issue but, in summary, it is known to effect the 2007-2009 Saab 9-3, 2007-2009 Saab 9-5, 2007 BMW X3, and 2007 BMW Z4 among others. You plug the aux cable into the phone and the phone indicates it is plugged in as normal, then you proceed to plug the other end into the car and the phone reacts as though the aux cable was removed. The solution is to use this 3.5mm to Female RCA Adapter with a 3.5mm to Male RCA Cable to reverse the polarity of the connection between the car and the phone! Plugging the cables in with the polarity reversed works and this method is the easiest way to accomplish that.

Came pretty quickly. 2 days I think so quick enough I guess. The adapter is made pretty well. I mean its no high quality adapter by any means but it gets the job done and in the longrun thats really all you need. Unless your purposly gonna do damage to it or you crushed the 3.5mm tip its not gonna be breaking on you anytime soon. And being since its not a cord you really cant mess up any connections in the adapter so. It gets the job done and works pretty decently so if you need an adapter like this one then I would reccomend buying it. Its pretty cheap so its deffinantly affordable and of course all things can be affordable but they need to work. So get this cable, you cant go wrong for the price and it just plain works. This item worked exactly as I needed it, as I had an older audio device with two male connectors. It helped me when I set up an old XBOX station in my dorm room. Price makes it a no-brainer if you need one. Also, was not a cheap plastic, it was quality stuff. Thanks!

I wanted to connect my phonograph/turntable/record player (not sure what the correct term is nowadays, since they've mostly gone the way of the dinosaurs), which has an RCA (red/white) male connector, to my Bose Wave radio, which has a 3.5 stereo auxiliary female port. This adapter filled the bill. I note that other reviewers indicated that the adapter was not color coded, so that connecting the left and right channels was a matter of guesswork. Mine, however, had a red and a white connector, so matching them up with my phono leads was a snap. My old vinyls never sounded better.This adapter cost something like a buck and a half. With free shipping on Amazon Prime all the way from China, which, last time I checked, was on the other side of the planet! I didn't keep track of how long it took, but it certainly wasn't very long, maybe a couple of weeks, and I wasn't in any hurry.

The picture show's the RCA plugs as white and red for the left and right channels. The adapter I received both RCA plugs were yellow. I had to find a left/right sound test MP3 to figure out which RCA plug was the left channel and which was the right channel. Then took a permanent marker to mark them so I didn't have to repeat the test every time I unplugged and plugged it back in.Works great for what it is. Just wish the left and right channels would have came marked. I purchased this one over others I found because the picture clearly shows the RCA plugs as red and white, which isn't the case.

This adapter is perfect. Shipping was fast and easy and it worked like a charm right out of the box. Considering I used to have to a) find the nearest radioshack, b) hope they were open at a time where I could swing through, and c) pay way too much for these types of things, I'm incredibly pleased with the product and overall ease of acquiring this gear. Quality of the product of on-par or superior to that of more expensive adapters at brick and mortar shops. I'll be ordering this kind of gear on Amazon from here on out.

The Female RCA to Male 3.5mm Headphone adapter works for my purposes. I have an Xbox 360 that uses HDMI input to a computer monitor that does not feature built-in speakers, so I have to convert composite audio to 3.5mm Headphone audio to use my computer speakers. The adapter works within my setup perfectly.However, my only complaint is that the adapter does NOT have the White and Red colors for the RCA input, but has two Yellow colors. This can be an easy fix as I can find out which side is which, but is still an inconvenience. I recommend seeing any product IN PERSON you before you decide to buy it, that means a local retailer for electronic cables would be a good place to visit. I would have not written this review had I not seen other reviews before this that had the same problem/complaint as mine.

I needed one of these as I bought a pair of X-box headphones for my PC by mistake,didn't use them for a few months then discovered I had bought the wrong version. A quick search and I found this, bought it plugged in the two RCA cables an now the wrong headphones are working in the right product. I suppose it's impossible to give it a low rating as it does what it is supposed to do.

Product came in promptly, price was great and works as advertised. I was able to hook up my tv's speakers (old sony lcd projection so it has oldie ports and connectors lol) to the sound card and use them as extra channels in a quadraphonic setup with sub. Sounded lovely. :D

Sockets are red and white, does the job. Note that you may need an amplifier, the natural volume output through this connector is quite low.

Connect (2) stereo rca male inputs and get a single 3.5mm stereo male output! Or reverse (connect phone to rca devices for example).No signal loss / compromise unless starting with a trs / 3.5mm balanced signal (as RCA is unbalanced. In this case, ensure RCA cables are “shielded” and keep length as short as possible). If you have a choice to run a TRS cable or an RCA cable across room, use the TRS to then keep your rca cable section as short as possible. I use double shielded RCA cables and even at 25ft have no issues (RCA cable Max is 48ft before you can run into problems)
