Will this for a mossburg 500?

These are really designed to be used on a wooden stock. I drill a pilot hole half of the shaft size. Then a slight countersink. Use a small screwdriver or nail as a driving tool. I also leave out the washer as they have a tendency to split. My take on most synthetic stocks is that they aren't thick enough to hold the thread. Uncle Mike's makes a " Machine Screw" version where you can use a nut and washers for mounting. Make sure that firearm is unload, pointed a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger.

Will these work on a Magpul Hunter stock?

I would use the Magpul stock sling screw"s. Vs Uncle Mike because they are designed for wood stocks

will this fit on a remington783 30-06?

Yes, it should if you can drill a hole where you want the stud to go it will fit any gun. I have mine mounted on a Remington 700 SPS Stainless in 300 WIN MAG. The way my stock is formed, I had to drill the hole a bit off center for it to work but you cannot even tell really. They work well.
