Is this a great toy worth buying? Would be the main question for transformers fans in the world.
The toy is worth your money because it doesn't lack anything bad. But when you think about the toy's features and from watching other reviews you would ask yourself "Does or Will this toy suit my needs or not?" Whenever I watch a review on youtube I would expect the review to have so good things and some bad things and this toy can lack a few things from the actual design of the toy. I have had this toy over 2 months now and it has had a few terrible or bad things to it. And when I say that I would have to say like when you transform the toy into it's vehicle mode and you roll it you actually would ask yourself does it roll like it supposed to? well mine doesn't really do that great of a roll when it's ever in vehicle mode because the middle wheels and the rear wheels don't want to roll and it seems like when I do that the wheels lack the full 360° degree thing and hasbro does a terrible job at making wheels do a full 360° I mean really I can just go on over to the North East Wal-Mart in Cecil County, Maryland and buy a little toy car and the wheel don't lack anything because they move like their supposed to. Hasbro failed but the toy in robot form didn't so I am going to say work on the wheels hasbro but keep up the good work on the robot forms on ALL hasbro toys.

Awesome Transformers toy
This is a great Transformer based on the incarnation of Optimus Prime from the video game "Fall of Cybertron." It's fairly faithful to the in-game model (it takes some liberties in order for it to transform and actually work as a toy, of course). My son loves it and plays with it all the time. It has a couple pieces that like to snap or fall off, but they can be replaced easily. The pelvic piece comes off a little too often, though, and we've lost it more than a couple times, but always end up finding it. Probably best not to purchase this for kids younger than 5 or 6.A complaint my son seems to have is that it's difficult to get Optimus to stand up on a flat surface, which is likely because he is top heavy. This is a minor fault, and can be overcome if you bend his legs the right way to strike a perfect balance (something my son hasn't mastered). However, he doesn't do much standing around when he's taken all over the living room to blast Decepticons!

Delivered on time
My son was extremely happy with the toy as this was a birthday gift that was received right on time as promised.

Great gift!
As a Transformers fan you tend to like everything with the TF logo on it, however I do love the Decepticons over the Autobots so I don't actually care about Optimus Prime... that said, I bought this for my brother who does love Optimus and didn't expected this gift. He was very happy so that makes me happy. Then I had chance to review it with my own eyes and gotta admit this figure is very cool.

Poor quality
My son is 3 and wanted transformers for Christmas. I didn't want to get him the real big ones since he is so young so I decided to find smaller and less expensive ones for him. They come apart very easy and the plastic is cheaper looking than the original transformers. The item stated that it was 12" and it was not. More like 7" tall. I bought 2 different ones and would not buy this items again. For the price it's acceptable.

Challenging
Transformers are more challenging for adults than children. Some how children grasp the concept of the transforming process quickly. Definitely a "road trip" toy.

Junky Plastic Snaps Easily.
I took a great deal of time researching transformers looking for something age appropriate (our kids are 8 and 6) and thought I'd found it. My husband is a big transformers guy from childhood and wanted our kids first transformers to be special. They were. For about a week. The joints pop off of this line like crazy (we got Star Scream too). I know they are probably meant to so that the plastic doesn't snap. The thing is, they come off so often the toy is unenjoyable to play with and the plastic snaps away. Also, the ball and socket joints become so weak from the limbs coming out that they have lost their ability to even hold the toy together with friction as was apparently intended. We have 40 year old friends with metal and plastic transformers from the 80s which are still in perfect playing condition despite years of use by both them and their kids who are of an age with ours and even rougher on their toys than our kids are. This toy is good looking if you don't ever plan on taking it out of package or if it will only be used by and adult. For a child its just frustrations and then devastation when the plastic snaps.

OPTIMUS PRIME
The idea behind this new body is that Optimus Prime has bulked up between games, adding heavier armor as the war rages on. And he does look a bit bulkier than Cybertronian Optimus Prime, especially in the legs and the contrasting proportions of his upper and lower torsos. That'd work a lot better if the two were in scale. I mean, I know scale in Transformers is its own punchline, but there's no getting around it: the price of toys has gone up, and the toys have gotten smaller. But what works regardless of scale is that he looks much more militaristic.

Design Finally Gotten Right
If your either a G1 fan who grew up with the transformers in the 80's, then you know not all (or any) cybertronian versions of the toys were available back then. Now Hasbro, finally has updated this version which ties in with the very much oriented G1 referencing for the new/upcoming Fall of Cybertron video game. The previous toy/design from War for Cybertron was good, but the transformation scheme was annoying and too complicated. This updated toy is more back to basics of good, simpler transformation scheme and better chunkier vehicle design. Optimus looks more warrior like. This is so good, I will be getting rid of the War for Cybertron version, but keeping the weapon that came with that, and stacking it with the his new weapon - in truck mode you can fit both (old and new) weapons on the top of the feet area (turned upwards) - see product picture. It's more compact and the paint type is better than the previous version!Any fan from the 80's and now should like this.Highly recommended!
