Highly adjustable for complete coverage
Own two of these, 'his' and 'hers'... these aprons are highly adjustable for a comfortable fit and complete coverage of your clothing. His has been used as a work apron while moving/stacking firewood, to protect clothing. Hers was bought for actual welding, has not been used yet for that purpose (haven't yet learned to use a welder!) but the adjustability lends itself to use by either gender.... not something I can say for other models. (from experience!)Thick leather, sturdy construction means these should last a good while, and are a worthwhile investment.

Works great!
Of course, the goal is to protect your clothes and not have to pay a high price. This apron does a good job of holding back hot spatters from wire and gas welding. The leather is easily thick enough, long enough, and very flexible. At first, the straps felt a little confusing to work, but now I slip this on in just a few seconds. It is comfortable and non-confining.

The leather color stains my jeans. Not sure this is ok with the wife who is in charge of the washing machine. Oh well.

A must have item.
Bought this to weld in and it works like a charm. I do a lot of steel gas welding and don't know what I would do without it.

Decent Apron, Easily Fixed
I bought this as a shop apron for blacksmithing. The leather is strong enough and thick enough to protect well, and the chest pocket holds a soapstone perfectly. Each leg has two straps, one just above the knee and another high on the thigh, that keep the legs protected regardless of foot placement. The shoulder straps are a little too far apart for me, which makes the bib gap forward near my neck. The straps are synthetic, and the metal D-ring is too thin and opened up on my first day wearing it. That is easily fixed, though; just bend another out of thicker stock (or even make a replacement out of string or a key ring).
