It's the best in class with few errors and it's jam-packed with a lot! - I'm Catholic, and don't believe in some of the dates in this, especially not the Pharaohs and Moses dates (about a hundred years off), but it's now my book and I can write in the right proper dates where I disagree. Otherwise, THIS is lovely as a coffee table book, but moreover, it's nearly invaluable to me for Bible study, which is a daily gift from the Lord I'm blessed to be able to do. I sent another copy as a gift to a very good friend, and the "update" was probably needed with all the current events going on! I love the maps, the charts, the timelines, even if my exact Faith isn't on point with the nitty gritty details! I pray for a 3D map of "promised land" to be in an upcoming version of this lovely book! Another wee little gripe with the hardback (vs spiral bound): it lays flat, and the overlays are lovely, but turning the pages isn't exactly "seamless". HOWEVER, it's overall a great study companion and I'll confess my faults I have to the Lord, and take you up from original 4-star to 5-star, because it's THAT good. Catholics hardly have priests enough now to Confess to, and need all the prayers we can get during these End Times where the Counter Church reigns, and we're severally relegated to "home church". Blessings to all men of good will. I.X. Review: Very nice, a must have - First, a beautifully assembled book, very nicely laid out and constructed. A handsome addition to your library. Next, commentary and ideas shared alongside the maps is not academic (secular) rubbish. This is just the right supplement to your home study efforts. By Christians for Christians (or that is certainly my impression). However, I don't think it would be off putting to someone who was strictly a history buff. In fact, I can't find another volume that would even come close. Also, helps brings current events to more to the fore with a clear and easy to read maps juxtaposing the places in the news with the biblical places you are reading about in scripture. Follow Abraham and Moses. See Jerusalem as Christ would have seen it. Follow Christ's movements on his way to Golgotha. A joy to look at, huge amount of data and value in a few (66) pages. I can't recommend it enough.

The best Bible guide ever
This is the single best Bible study aid I have ever had. The maps do a splendid job of showing the Old and New Testament worlds through the use of overlays. Moreover excellent descriptions and explanations of the scope of empires including Babylonian, Greek, Persian and Roman. Beautiful illustrations of biblical artifacts such as the Ark of the Covenant, Jesus’ tomb, etc. Anotger nice design feature is that the book itself is hardcover but when you open it, it’s spiral bound so the pages are easy to work with. I highly recommend this resource and liked it so much I bought another copy for the Sunday School.

Great visual tools regarding maps now and then and other usedul charts
Perfect for quick looking references when studying Scripture and what events today are happening in the Biblical areas. I use it almost everyday to get a visual of the area. This version has 31 maps for various Biblical events with routes etc. Ancient names of areas and towns eith the overlays of modern names etc. There are a few other charts like 12 Tribes, Prophets, Tabernacle, Kingdoms of Daniel. It is not a reading type of reference but a great visual reference and worth the money. I will be looking for a historical book to go along with this and probably another by Rose Publishing. They do a fantastic job with their works. I will say I also purchased from Rose Publishing the Bible Time Line Genesis to Revelations because I found this pamplet to be better visually for a time line than the one in the Then and Now Bible Maps.

Good for Geography, but Take with a Grain of Salt
Although it is a good resource to see how nations in modern times correspond to nations and lands in Biblical times, the book actually does cast some doubt on the Bible. Notably, two things stand out immediately. First, the book uses the NIV (Yes, the "Not Inspired Version" that says Lucifer and Jesus are the same!) as its source for scripture, not the KJV. Second, the book also casts doubt on whether the people of Israel actually crossed the Red Sea when they were led by Moses, saying that it should have translated to the Reed Sea and ignoring the Bible's claim that the Egyptians were drowned when they pursued.

Highly recommend - Great source
I highly recommend this Bible Map. I actually purchased for other ladies in our bible study group. High-quality film overlay, detailed information. Excellent source to provide a clear vision of ancient times/locations to todays location.

Wonderful and accurate visualization tool.
For anyone who benefits from visualization, this lays out an accurate presentation of then and now in beautiful detail with lots of other beneficial information in an easily understandable form. I am so glad I purhased this book as our Bible group is studying Joshua. Highly recommended.

I love this book
The maps and timelines are very helpful for the Bible study and the parallel maps between the ancient and modern world are very useful.

Didn't match the description or photos.
The book/atlas delivered was not as shown. The maps were kind of jumbled up. It was poorly put together and it was obvious proper time and effort was not given to it. A poor show by Rose Publication

A Must-Have Resource for Bible Study!
I recently purchased the Deluxe Then and Now Bible Maps, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. This beautifully illustrated book provides a clear and insightful connection between ancient biblical locations and their modern counterparts. The maps are incredibly well-crafted, featuring overlays that allow you to see how the landscape has changed over time. This feature is particularly helpful for visual learners like myself, as it gives context to the stories and events described in the Bible. The combination of historical and contemporary maps helps bridge the gap between ancient scripture and today’s world, making it easier to understand the significance of various locations. Additionally, the book includes a wealth of supplementary information, such as timelines and diagrams, which enhance the learning experience. It's not just a map book; it’s a comprehensive study tool that has enriched my understanding of the Bible significantly. The hardbound format is sturdy, and the spiral binding allows it to lay flat for easy reference during study sessions. Whether you're a seasoned scholar or just starting your biblical journey, this resource is invaluable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the Bible and its geographical context!
