Colorado (Insight Guides) Paperback – Bargain Price, September 15, 2008

I bought this before our trip to Colorado in order to plan some day trips for my husband and me, but it was filled with information about Colorado and not necessarily attractions in the various parts of Colorado that we could enjoy each day.

Good detail without being too detailed. Just what you'd expect from a guidebook. Good pictures. Reasonable maps. I enjoyed it.

We bought this book before our first trip to Colorado. It was with us all the time and proved its worth.

Great for history and some things to see/explore. I was hoping for more information on recommended activities, restaurants, and accommodations. I do not find myself grabbing this book first when planning weekend getaways in Colorado.

This was a very informative book. It had a lot of information in it that I hadn't already read and was full of great pictures. It had a different take on things, not just a book telling you which restaurant to eat at or which hotel to stay at. A pleasant read full of much information about Colorado.

Nice to have very knowledgeable. I guess it also better when you search and see with your very own eyes!

After using multiple travel guides, I have settled on the Insight Guides because of the extensive photos and quality of their publications. This one, like the others, is excellent.

I purchased this book in preparation for a trip to Colorado in Summer 2017. I am very familiar with the Insight guides, being well written, relevant and easy to read. This guide is no exception. The layout is also easy to navigate, with maps and tips relating to the areas being researched. Whilst there are other more detailed guides on the market, they can be quite difficult to focus on, leading the reader to potentially lose interest. This Insight Guide will be in my suitcase as the main reading tool for a Colorado road trip. The guide does not come with a detailed road map, due to the size of the state, but from previous experience, State Visitor Centers provide far better maps and are free. That aside, this guide ticks all the tourist boxes.

In the process of planning a trip to Colorado I realised that I needed more information to help me get the best out the time to be spent there. This guide is helpful in giving more information on what there is in different places and possible routes and distances between places. There is also information on where to eat and to stay. A good guide that will be handy to take as well as to use for planning.

This book was very voluminous and positioned somewhere between a travel guide and a background to Colorado. I didn't find it at all helpful in telling me what to see in the state, which towns to stay in, and didn't take it with me on holiday in the end given how heavy it was. I would recommend either a Lonely Planet (less colourful/glossy but good info) or internet research.

Useful guide with lots of ideas about sights to see and places to visit.Loads of great photographs.Good information on Denver, but less so on Boulder (which is where we,re going). Very much looking forward to using the guide "on site" later this year.

I bought this book to help me to plan my trip to Colorado. It was a very helpful guide for my planning. My only reservation is that in future I would look for a more up to date edition. Overall a good buy.
