Just what I needed to secure large shutter ropes indoors
I have some shutters, individually controlled, that we made for a huge skylight in our dining room. Due to our hot summers, we close the shutters in the summer, then open them as the weather cools. It's great to have the light, but the shutter ropes were a pain to anchor. This cleat is perfect. It allows us to tie off the multiple ropes and holds the excess cord. It makes the shutters and ropes look much neater and keeps the excess cord out of puppies' teeth and from around their necks. We have this pretty high on the wall where pups and children can't reach it.

High Quality...
These are great quality cleats. I installed two of them on the bow of my boat since my boat only came with cleats in the middle and aft. These have clearance to accommodate 5/8" diameter rope, maximum. As of yet, I have not seen any corrosion develop on them, and they have been exposed to long term humidity and lots of rain. However, I am located in a fresh water environment. Therefore I cannot comment on how they perform in a salt water environment.

Using as outdoor towel hangers
I was searching for something to use as outdoor hooks near our pool, and couldn't find anything modern that wouldn't rust or corrode outside. Then it occurred to me to use yacht cleats. They are great! I put up six, and in retrospect, I should have put up ten, as when a couple of people come over, they are all in use. We hang towels, goggles, pool toys (with strings) and coverups on them. Only problem is mine didn't come with stainless screws so I had to buy those, which was a pain.

Solid, clean and shiny
Worth the extra money, Well made, solid,, will come back in a few years to let you know on rust situation if any. I used Stainless Screws (NOT INCLUDED) so should be minimal. Only rub is this does not come with screws, I guess as a liability issue, so that if it fails, they can blame the screws. lol. at any rate good product.

Great!
These work perfectly on my 1987 Bass Tracker. I mounted one on each corner of my boat, the are super strong and I really like that they are not super bulky and I can clip carabeaners to them with no issues. 10/10 will buy again.

Good Product
Bought a bunch of these and have been using them to tie up my boat on the lake.I like the smooth stainless finish. These are much better than galvanized, and look nice as well. Work well with my 1/2-inch dock lines.

Great cleat for the money
You cant beat these cleats for the money. They have been on my boat in salt water for about a month now and no rust, so they probably are stainless as advertised. The wide opening between the feet is a really nice feature as it makes it possible to route multiple 1/2" lines through.Update: These were on my boat all last season and then I left the boat on my mooring all winter in boston harbor. The cleats are just as shiny now as when I put them on a year ago. Great product.Another Update (8/2017): It turns out that these are either low quality stainless or just plain steel with chrome plating. Some of the chrome plating chaffed off of one and it started to rust. Boooooo.
