Household Essentials China Plate Storage Box, Holds 12 Dessert Plates or Bowls, Windowed Panel, Sturdy Frame and Reinforced Handles, Felt Cushions, Fully Removable Lid

My Christmas dishes were purchased at Target several years ago. They are quite sturdy and would make for great every day dishes except for the Christmas pattern on the rims of the larger plates and the very festive "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry" text along the rims of the dessert plates. Since kitchen storage space is at a premium in our household, I finally decided to solve the problem by ordering plate storage chests. I went with the red and green chests because, like with the boxes I use for Christmas ornaments, I love the festive vibe when I pull them out of storage. The storage chests are the perfect size for my dinner and dessert plates ( ordered one of each size). The dessert plates hit all four walls, but don't push past them. The dinner plate chest has plenty of room around the plates, which is where I'm storing the holiday napkins, table runner, and table cloths. There are 12 felt dividers that come with each storage chest. They are just slightly smaller than my plates, so they're perfect for separating them preventing them from clanging against each other when the chest gets moved around. While the chests do ship folded flat, I feel like they are pretty secure once assembled. I'm not going to be walking a long distance holding this by its handles, but I trust that it's going to protect my plates until next year. And I like that there is a window on them so I don't get them mixed up with my ornament storage chests. Although it's not an issue for me, buyers do need to be aware that these are probably not sturdy enough to stack (not even one chest on another) because the sides are supported by covered cardboard and would likely collapse over time if heavy weight were placed on top of them.

I've accumulated several sets of antique china from my mom & aunts and when I add those to my own china and my holiday dinnerware, it gets ridiculous!! So for the last 6 months I've been on a mission to get it all stored properly. My theory was to have different colored storage for each set of china so that I would be able to see at a glance which items belonged together. I purchased 2 other brands of storage (one blue & one green - so far the plan was working!! ) and while they were OK, they were nowhere near the quality of this one. I ended up using this for my holiday china, which is a lot larger in diameter than the antique china. I think the biggest difference for me is that because this is a square box, it has sides that are reinforced (as well as the bottom.) The round storage containers alway feel a little flimsy when you try to move it. The handles on the sides of this one look like they are firmly attached. I don't if over time I would completely trust the handles, but they appear strong and certainly make it easier to carry. Just double-check each time to make sure they aren't coming loose. I think it is time for my plan to change. No more different colors for me! This is the only type of storage I'll be buying in the future!

I spent a lot of time looking around for fabric storage cubes that would fit in a cheap but cute shelving unit that could not fit your "typical" cubes. I did not buy these for plates or bowls at all - I actually use these to organize small essentials that I use daily (socks, underwear, PJs, workout clothes) for easy access. These worked perfectly! I bought three more after I received the first one and was impressed with the quality. I love that I can see what's inside easily. My only issue is that the width is less than stated - 8 1/8" long and wide, not 9". I still think you would be able to fit 8" plates in this, however, and the slightly smaller size actually ended up being necessary for the space I needed. But be aware that you won't be able to fit anything wider than 8" MAX in these.

If you have used the Rubbermaid cloth storage boxes these are made like those. They are sturdy, well sewn, and much more practical than the typical soft quilted china storage products (I was very disappointed in the expensive Kangaroom set I purchased from Amazon). The reason I deducted one star is the color since it gets dirty from dust and the fabric does not dust well (same as Rubbermaid). Also the nice thin vinyl window may eventually dry out and become brittle. Nonetheless I ordered a whole set as I still prefer them over the quilted style. I just wish they would start using the same type of easy to clean durable cloth-like material that backpack or luggage manufacturers use.

I love this storage chest for my china. I have been looking in stores and wasn't able to find anything like this. It was just what I was looking for. I ordered a bunch of different sizes and all of my dishes fit perfect as well as my glasses. In fact I needed another 2 for my glasses and I made sure I ordered the same thing. I would suggest these for anyone looking for china storage. They are very sturdy and have the felt to put in between the dishes and they gave me plenty. Good Product!!!!

I have a Bradford Exchange perpetual wall calendar with decorative plates for each month, and needed something to store the plates in when they aren't in use. This box is the perfect size to stack the plates (in order), so all I have to do each month is put the plate from last month on the bottom, and take the plate for next month off the top. The box comes with felt dividers so you can pad between each plate, and the lid fits well and so far appears to prevent dust from collecting on the plates. The bottom is sturdy and even with the box full of plates doesn't show any sign of stress. There is a handle on 2 sides so you can lift/carry the box securely.

3.5 to 5 Stars I like the case and the quality is fine, but prefer my heavy duty 30 year old quilted cases. I needed a couple more cases and decided to try this brand. It is sturdy and will probably hold the weight listed. But, I do prefer a zippered case thinking it’s more dust proof. I will Not order the second cases I need as the measurements are NOT accurate and the larger sizes are too expensive. The interior dimensions are only 7.5”, not the 8” listed and will not fit 8” dessert plates. At a cost of $8.65 and the quality of the case I will not return this, but use it for bread/butter plates instead. If I did not have my old heavy duty cases and these were not so expensive, I’d order these with the knowledge that I’d need to order one size up for my plates.

I know this was advertised as a plate holder, but, after looking at the holder I thought it would be perfect for holding RX pill bottles and liked that it had a cover. It works perfectly and the container looks stylish at the same time.
