I put this on the soles of some canvas sneakers to use for swing dancing. It was easy to apply and so far has held up well! It allows me to turn easily but still has enough traction.

They stick securely to smooth, flat soles. Might not work so well on new shoes with all the ridges and such. I covered the whole sole of my cheap, worn, lightweight sneakers. They have the right amount of traction on the usual smooth surfaces that pretend to be wood.

I cut it out and secured it to new shoes. I had one class and worked great.

I just applied these. I love that I can do this myself, having paid cobblers a lot more money and waited a lot longer than 2 days of prime shipping the last three times I turned running shoes into dance shoes. (Yes, running shoes look funny with a ball gown, but it sure beats not dancing!)However - I saw nothing on the package that to warn me that they would stink something awful. I put the kitchen fan on right away and I've still got a towering headache. Fortunately I have a few hours before I need to get in the car to go waltzing, so my shoes can sit out on the porch for some more out-gassing before they go into my dance bag.

I had some shoes done locally by a shoe repair shop, and this product does just as well as they did, and much cheaper. I've worn the shoes for dancing for about 3 months, and no sign of adhesive failure. One sheet will do two or three pairs of shoes

I was skeptical that this product would stay stuck to Converse sneakers, but it is FABULOUS! Highly recommend it to convert your favorite style of sneaker into a dance shoe. After dancing in regular rubber sole Converse for years, I gave into my knee strain and applied this self-stick suede to the bottoms of my favorite pair of Chucks. I wish I had done it a long time ago! Turns and spins are so effortless now! I still wear my regular shoes when dancing on patios and decks, but these are great for hardwood "real" & "clean" dance floors!!! (marking, cutting, and applying was super easy, too)

my only complaint is that it is pricey and a bit tricky to get the most use out of the one sheet. But, the suede sticks well to the bottom of my dance shoes and makes them slide nicely while dancing which was my goal.
