Organic Donut Shop Whole Bean Coffee, Medium Roast, USDA Organic, Kosher, 5 lb (80 oz)

I've been buying this coffee for a little under a year now and, I have to say, for the price it's one of the better choices available. Its been one of the most consistent, flavor wise, and I haven't really felt the need to try a different brand. I'm not a coffee expert but I did try a number of different brands before settling on this one. It's smooth and pleasant so long as you're a little more generous with your tablespoon scoops. If you stick with even measurements it can be a little on the bitter side although I found that to be the case with all other coffee brands as well.

FRC coffee organic low in acid is amazing.Coffee Is smooth and doesn’t bother my stomach.The beans are roasted in small batches.I grind the beans and brew my coffee automatic drip coffee maker..I don’t have a heating element under coffee maker it’s not cooking the coffee on the bottom.The company reducers carbon footprint it says how much they care about the environment.The size and value for the coffee beans is worth every penny.I have put milk, and tried it straight up the seal on bag is excellent closes well when storing in container. Will order again.

When I was in college there was a 24 hour donut shop just off campus that served utterly decadent cinnamon rolls and robust, flavorful coffee which they roasted themselves. This blend took me right back to those days long gone by. I generally prefer a single origin Colombian bean, but on a lark decided to give this a try to see how it would hold up and as change of pace. I'm glad I did, the price is a solid value for the quality of bean you get, the roast meter is accurately portrayed and the freshness of the contents was outstanding. The blend scales well to milder and stronger preferences with a low acid content and holds up very well to cream, milk, sugar and other assorted contaminants that my girl-friend and her daughter insist on using. So why not 5 stars? I'm a bit of a coffee snob and prefer my single origin coffees, but for it to earn a 4 star would rate a 5 from most others. Delivery was swift, and as stated, the freshness was noticeable, I'd almost swear it was roasted to order.

We have tried several of the "Fresh Roasted Coffee" flavors. All have been excellent. We choose whole bean for fresh at home grinding. All have been fresh, mold free and with very few broken beans. Their online descriptions are accurate. Just take your time on their website to determine which ones may be your new favorite. They are quick to ship, and their prices are fair for the quality you get. You can save yourself some time and money by choosing to be on a standing order with Amazon too.

I've been buying this coffee for a few years, rarely getting a bag that wasn't fresh. But recently it seems the coffee isn't fresh and brews are hit or miss. Looking for another brand. Update: after not buying this coffee for several months I tried it again. Sorry to say it tastes dry and old. When hot pour hot water over the grounds after grinding, there is little or no gas released....OLD!

So far we’ve had a few flavors from this brand and all of them exceeded our expectations… Very fresh we get the whole bean which makes it as fresh as possible. Outstanding quality and flavor. We are on auto delivery

I was looking for an alternative to the donut shop K-cups that i love since it is an exclusive item. I love this coffee, it is close to the same flavor and i love grinding it fresh for my morning (and evening) coffee. I cant say enough about it. the company roasts it fresh and sends it to you...and i called to see if they did tours of the facility since they are only an hour or so from my house and they are happy to do tours. I appreciate the small business and fresh roasting.

This order of Donut Shop beans was packed 8 months ago with a BB date 4 months from now. The bag explicitly states that these beans are unlikely to ever be 'fresh" with a year long best by window. The aroma wafting from the recently opened bag was stale and rancid. The pot of coffee I brewed with them was like bad hotel lobby coffee. I have had better, older beans which suggests the beans were on the old side before even being roasted.
