Garcima Paella Pan Lid (15.75 inches/42 cm)

we needed a lid for our 14 inch pan and couldn't find one anywhere. This one does the trick, it's lightweight but it keeps the heat in. My only comment would be that it is completely flat -- so if you cook large amounts that "mound" up in your frying pan (which we do) it won't lie flat like a lid that is more domed. But we were happy to find it and it works just fine. It is of good quality and seems well made. We've had it for a few months now.

Large cover works great with my pans

This is a very thin, very light weight, but rigid enough lid that it covers my 15" cast iron skillet like it is supposed to. If you are not very careful with this lid, it can be very easily bent, so handle it like fine china at all times and put no weight on it. Upon my first use of this thing I was cooking rice'a'roni in my 15" CI skillet and after cooking I had already stained about 10% of the middle of the underside of the lid a light brown color in a splotchy pattern (the borders touching the cast iron pan were fine). I scrubbed with a regular sponge, soap and water, but to no avail, that stain is a reaction of the metal itself. Perhaps I will have to coat the underside in some sort of food grade mineral oil in order to avoid further discoloration. I dont really think the color change should matter much, but it was still disappointing to see it occur. For the price of this lid, I cannot really complain, though next time around I might opt for a stainless steel lid instead of this thing, which I think is some sort of aluminum alloy.

It is not 42cm it is 40cm. It says on the sticker on the lid 40cm!, I purchased it to fit on my pan whic need a 42cm, now I have to return it because it sits halfway in the pan.!

I expected a better quality product. When took it out of the box was already scratched and dented, even with fingerprint marks, an obvious returned item that was recirculated back again to a random client, and I was the unfortunate one. Do not waste your money on it.It is a very thin and foldable aluminum sheet piece that bend easily.

Light weight lid that gets the job done. Fits our 16" cast iron pan perfectly. Price was great. Expect to have many yrs of use from this lid.
