Fun times game with family and friends

fun game for a group
this is a fun game, for a reasonable price. The clues on the cards are fun to draw and you can use both sides of the cards. There are a couple of ways to play, depending on how easy/hard you want it to be. We didn't use the "junior" categories, but the adult categories are good. Note: the provided whiteboards are tiny and we ended up using printer paper instead.

Fun to play, but the markers are difficult to erase
WHY I BOUGHT IT: I am not a native English speaker and I was looking for a game that would allow me and my friends to have fun while learning new words. RULES: The rules of the game are pretty simple, also for kids. Unfortunately, you can have just two teams; each team moves a pencil player piece across the board by rolling a dice and guessing what the team "picturist" is drawing in a given amount of time (an hourglass is provided). There are two special squares: one where the "picturist" can choose the category of the word to draw, and another one where the two "picturists" sketch the same word simultaneously. CARDS: The box contains 120 adult cards and 80 cards for kids. As a non-native English speaker, I prefer to play with the cards for kids, as the ones for adults contain some very abstract words that are difficult to guess. I wish they added more cards: if you play the game often, you will end up remembering some of the words, especially if you only play with the cards for kids. DRAWING BOARDS: I bought this version of the game mostly because of the drawing boards, as I don't like to waste tons of paper to play the game. Unfortunately, the boards are pretty small (4" x 6") and the markers need to be erased using a wet cloth, which makes things messy: if you are playing with kids, their hands will be full of ink by the end of the game. Also, it's difficult to completely erase the markers even with a wet cloth. I ended up buying two dry erase boards (one is not enough because of the special squares where the two "picturists" need to draw at the same time). BOTTOM LINE: The game is fun to play for both adults and kids, I just wish they had included dry erase boards and a few more cards.

Great team game for kids
My kids loved this game and we played it several times while camping over spring break. It's better to have similar ages play together or to have balanced teams when playing. My 16-year old was a bit frustrated when my 9-year old couldn't guess what he was drawing and vice versa. We still made it work, though, and had tons of fun! it was helpful that the game had multiple levels with easier cards and harder cards available.

Pictionary - updated - fun for my daughter and I
I have had the earlier versions of Pictionary when I was young and was interested in the rewritable surface, since I remember how much paper we would go through with the original version. My daughter and I played it and she loved it. It was simple and short and not too many rules. She liked the game pieces shaped like pencils. We had fun.

Fun for all ages!
This game is perfect for our little family. Our daughter just turned 5 and is learning how to read so she gets sad when she cannot play "grownup" games which require reading. With this game, she can participate by looking at the pics and this game has been fun for the entire family!

I don't like it as much as I thought
Even though I love the concept of someone drawing a word and having others guess it, this is the first game of pictionary I ever buy or play, and it will be the last. Here is why: -The game doesn't scale well with low numbers. If you don't have at least 8 (maybe 6) people, you won't enjoy it. I mostly play with 3-4 players and it feels like a drag. -It doesn't have variant rules for smaller groups or for 2 people. -Some teams may stay stuck on one color during the whole game, while the other team moves up. This really ruins the mood and the fun. -The timer doesn't allow you to get creative or add details. I would like 2 minutes or indefinite time. -The words don't always aling with their categories. Is 'Ice Age' an object? Is 'dozen' an object? - I wanted more variety when choosing words or categories. Only 2 words per category? I would've liked 3 or more. - I wouldn't recomend it for second language speakers. Idioms are..... strange If you have played Pictionary before, then I will say, clean the whiteboards exactly as instructed and they will last. I also wouldn't recomend using other markers. For anyone who had never played and was thinking of buying it, look on the internet for a random word generator and buy a white board with a bunch of cool colors. I don't like the board, I don't like the pads, I don't like the rules, I don't like the cards (I wanted more variaty of words). Don't buy a game if you are not going to use the board, the drawing pads. Find what's good for you. I am sure this game will be a hit with a lot of people, but It's not a hit with me.

LOVE IT.
Played two rounds last night with our 8- and 9-year-old-- SO FUN. We played using only the kids' cards, and most were easy enough that the kids could draw and guess them without adult help. A few words/phrases were tougher, but that's what makes it fun, AND ensures longevity as the kids age. The dry-erase boards are small-ish but sufficient, the makers were great. A quick read-through of the instructions explained everything just fine. After two rounds we still had lots of cards left over, and with five words per side of each card, I'm hopeful we won't see too many repeats. Our children (avid board game players) have declared this their new favorite game. I agree...

Love this game
One of the best games to play with family and friends. so many laughs and no matter the age this game is fun for all. I would also recommend when playing with big groups of teams to buy a white board along with it so you can draw on it for your whole team to see.

Fun and Easy to Play with Kids
Pictionary has been a hit at family game nights. Itโs easy enough for younger kids to understand, but still fun for adults to play along. The drawing challenges lead to a lot of laughs, especially when someoneโs sketch turns out nothing like what they were trying to draw. Setup is quick and the game moves along at a good pace, so even kids with shorter attention spans stay engaged. Weโve played multiple rounds in a night without anyone getting bored. Itโs a great way to get everyone involved and having fun together. If youโre looking for a light, entertaining game that works well with kids and adults alike, this one is a solid choice. 5/5.
