Happy with purchase
This hose is a time saver for me. I had an awful flex hose - the kind that shrinks when the water is off. I didn't realize what a time waster that awful thing was. It takes me HALF the time to water my gardens as it had been! I can't speak to the durability of this one as I haven't had it very long, but with the lifetime warranty, I think it's a pretty safe purchase regardless. I chose to buy this hose because I have another Gilmour hose that I've had for ten years with no issues. I will report back after a time about the durability of this one. The only thing I dislike is winding 100 feet of hose, but my next purchase will be a reel to make that easy and quick!

Great Hose and No Kinks!
I purchased this hose for simple projects around the outside of my home and it has worked out great. I've only had it for a month or so but I have had no problems with it and I use it almost every day. I've never had a kink in the hose either. Make sure you get a hose that is long enough to reach around your entire home. This hose is actually a little short for us since I am unable to reach the north side of my home, but I just use a watering can for those plants. Pretty good price and works as advertised.

Very good product
I bought 2 100' hoses and installed them on two Suncast reels, one on the N and the other on the S side of the house. They seem quite well engineered and constructed. They do very well what I want from them. Through Amazon they came unusually quickly. Being 1/2" dia. rather than the 5/8" hoses I replaced, they did not delivered quite the pressure and volume I was used to, but they are fine for watering lawn, garden, and washing vehicles and decks. Their smaller size make them lighter, more manageable, and fit nicely on their reels.

Kinks and inside ruptured already
Hose didn't last a month. Its twisted and kinked multiple times in hot weather using it in the yard. Then I noticed the inside of the hose ruptured and now makes a shusshing noise when using it. It hasn't broke through the outer green casing yet. Will not buy again, especially since it has been raised double in price.

Great hose
These are significantly better for general watering than a 5/8" model of the same length. You'd think that 1/8" isn't much but over a 100ft hose it's a lot less weight because it's also that much less water in the host. This makes for a much easier to handle hose. If you don't absolutely need that 5/8" volume I'd say get this since it's not only better but cheaper. I honestly haven't noticed that much of a difference in water flow between this one and a 5/8" hose either. Remember it's not kink proof, just kink resistant.

"The Last Hose You'll Ever Buy"...so not true...
We purchased 4 of these to leave out in various places in our yard for watering some shrubs that weren't getting enough water from our drip system. Sadly, within 1 day, 3 of these hoses started developing these big bulges in various places along the 100 feet of hose. Essentially, the inner lining of the hoses had ruptured leading to water leaking into the outer layer creating the bulges. The product specs state that these hoses can withstand up to 500 PSI of burst resistance but from my experience, I highly doubt that. The water pressure coming out of our home is no where near 500 PSI. With the sprinkler head attached to the hose, it still can't be anywhere near 500 PSI (although I have no scientific way of measuring this). Technically, the hoses didn't burst...they just bulged...dramatically. And for it to happen on 3 out of 4 hoses purchased, that's pretty bad. We returned 3 (I should have returned all 4) with no problems since Amazon is pretty awesome when it comes to returning bad products. The 4th one is fine so far but I'm constantly stressed it's gonna start bulging again...and now I'm passed the return window. But Gilmour states a lifetime warranty on these so we'll see. But I don't think I can even come close to reccommending this product as they did not live up to the "Last Hose You'll Ever Buy" claim listed on the product packaging.

The Last Hose You'll Ever Buy?
I sure hope its the last hose I buy! Bought 2 several months ago and they are still going strong. The hoses are lined on the top of my privacy fence to each corner of the back yard, this way I don't have to drag a hose from the side of my house all the way to the end of the yard. I just hook up a smaller hose to feed these and I haven't noticed any leaking. They have with stood the summer so far, time will tell how much longer they last.

A++ Quality
Pros: The hose is lightweight, yet heavy duty Does not leak Guaranteed not to kink (and doesn't) On the intake connector, there is a hand grip which makes it easy to connect and disconnect Cons: It was tightly coiled upon arrival and takes some effort to uncoil and wrap nicely around the hanger. This is said to be the last hose you'll ever buy, and I can honestly see why. It is very sturdy and heavy duty. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you use garden hoses pretty regularly. It holds up!

I previously had a 5/8 inch hose and I thought the pressure would be lower. I was happy with the pressure. It is easy to maneuver to wherever I need it. It does not kink at all. Considerable less expensive than the local stores have in stock.

A little heavier than expected, but does resist kinking quite well, My uses include lawn watering, stays where I put it, when void of water it does not collapse, great product, priced accordingly

My watering tractor follows the hose over my lawn, but 5/8 or 3/4 inch hose gets too hard/heavy to pull for more than 10' or so. My tractor goes about 10' or so per hour and can pull about 75' or so of this well made 1/2" hose which allows me to pick the route and give that whole area a good watering.

i've been using this hose for about a month. if you're down wind from this hose, you can really smell it. i would have expected it to stop off gassing by now. i could literally smell it from 20 feet away. when the water sits in the hose for a day, when it comes out it's a bit foamy and smells of plastic so let it run until the water standing in the hose is flushed out. don't drink from this hose as it is not drinking water safe. -1 star now i expect garden hoses may contain lead but why the brass connectors on this hose need to contain lead really stumps me. -1 star the outer layer of this hose had some minor bumps which scraped off with use and have revealed the black layer underneath in those spots. also, the green layer of this hose seems to easily scrape off with abrasion caused by rubbing against concrete or rocks. hopefully it's just cosmetic and doesn't progress to something worse. -1 star now the benefit of this hose is that because it's 1/2", it is really lightweight at 100 feet. but there is a downside of having a 1/2" hose. my sprinkler doesn't go as high as before, i lost about 2 feet in height. if flow and pressure is important to you, buy at least a 5/8" hose. i really wish amazon would have stocked the 5/8" 100 foot version of this hose (Gilmour 10-58100). i would have preferred it. p.s, this hose doesn't come with crush proof connectors like the larger diameter versions of this hose come with. dear amazon, stock some 5/8" diameter 100 foot rubber hoses, especially the hot water safe red ones. everybody wants those because they last a very long time.
