Great mirror! This is my 2nd one. My first one lasted over 10 yrs

I ordered this mirror for my teenage daughter after looking at several other local well-known stores and being disappointed at their selection and prices. Amazon had exactly what I was looking for, and at a lower price than the local shops. It was a very quick delivery - two days and well packaged! I installed the mirror myself, very easy to do. Having the adapter is a plus until we purchase the C batteries. The lighting is better than overhead lighting for putting on make-up and both sides of the mirror are excellent for those up close and personal applications. It can be pulled out and adjusted and then pushed back flush against the wall. I installed a little shelf right beneath of the same color it and it looks very elegant and classy (like the kind you find in very posh hotel rooms)! I would recommend this to anyone needing a lighted make-up mirror that does not take up space and gets five stars for functionability, durability, ease of use, and quality material (no plastic involved).

I purchased this mirror after reading multiple glowing reviews, as well as on the recommendation of a family member, however was quite disappointed for multiple reasons: 1. Quality: installation is laborious, and the materials included to assist (including drywall anchors and screws) were not sufficient for the installation. Several of the screws were already stripped, resulting in a need to purchase additional hardware to install. Once installed the mirror doesn't sit entirely flush with the wall; due to the weight it hangs just a bit down, which is frustrating when a level mirror would be preferable. After installing the mirror I discovered the LED light didn't work. I tried both batteries and the wall plug without success. Once I was able to use the light (see below) the mirror drained the batteries in less than a week with use of only 10-15 minutes per day. 2. Design: the mirror can be powered from either 4 C-batteries or a wall plug. The battery compartment is located on the back of the mirror, however in order to load or replace the batteries you need to unscrew the mirror from the wall-mounted base, remove the batteries and replace them, then re-install the mirror onto the base. The screws, as mentioned above, are not high quality, so every time they are used (which is often based on battery drain) there is the potential for stripping. 3. Customer service: I reached out to Zadro after discovering the LED light issue; there are two options to reach the company: email and phone. I emailed first, and after not receiving a response for 7 days tried the phone number. I reached a busy signal twice, then on the third try a voicemail message stating to leave a message, but for quicker service use the email address provided on the website. After 10 days I finally did receive an email reply and they offered to replace the mirror. The replacement mirror does light up, however the quality issues above remain with this product as well. 4. Price: I purchased it for $159.99; for the quality, design, and customer service this mirror is absolutely not worth the cost - both financially and time spent dealing with the issues resulting from this purchase.

This is my second purchase of this exact lighted wall mirror. The first purchase was OVER 10 years ago. That's amazing because these bulbs are not replaceable and I am truly impressed as much as I used the first one that it lasted that long. The bulbs are brighter than other make up mirrors I've used and I fully expect that this one will last as long. I love the Bronze color and I love that the mirror is larger than most,-- it's still lightweight and is so easy to install. I need the larger magnification and appreciate that my second mirror cost less less than the first!

We had a terrible time with the first one because it had a short in it and wouldn't stay on. Every time you turned the mirror to a better angle, it went off and there was no way to fix it. After much correspondence with both Amazon and the seller, they sent us a new one and it works and I like it. But it took months to get it replaced. The old one went in the trash. We thank them for replacing it because we just figured we were out the money. They'd say they were replacing it and then nothing. Persevere! They get 4 stars because of the aggravation. And I quit ordering so much from Amazon because of it.

I bought the first one in 2010 and loved it. Bright enough and very magnified. Last week it stopped working. One of the issues I had was the door to the battery holder doesn't click tight and eventually I had to tape it with duct tape. But the mirror last me 10 years which is good enough for me. I loved it enough to repurchase again (newer model). With the second purchase, the screw holes are better placed. The one purchased in 2010 had a the holes at 10, 2 and 6 and I couldn't get to the one at 10 because the medicine cabinet was in the way. The new one is more like 11, 1 and 6 so I can reach all 3 screw holes. The battery door hasn't been updated, still a little flimsy and doesn't quite click tightly. But I'm willing compromise on that since I love everything else about this lighted and magnified mirror.

Zadro LED Lighted Dual-Sided 5X/1X Magnification Mirror with 12" Extendable Arm, Polished Nickel Getting this Zadro mirror up and running was not the piece of cake I was hoping it to be. It all started innocently enough. The mirror arrived and was well packaged so it arrived intact. I had an existing similar mirror in my bathroom that was twenty years old and had seen it’s better day. So, this new lit mirror with a 5X (the actual product says 5X) mirror both looks snazzy and out performs my old one. I removed the old one and took the mount and screws and was able to cover the old holes in the stud and secure the new one to the same stud. Now comes attaching the mirror assembly (all assembled and ready to attach) to the mount. There are two options for powering the light. There is an A/C adapter and a power port on the lower right side. In my opinion while eliminating the batteries is one ugly choice. There is no way to hide the wire and even if you had an electrician wire for it, it would have to be disassembled for hard wiring and it just would be beyond the scope of this product. So the choices are the very ugly wire or 4 C cell batteries. Yup, C cells, and they are not included. The best I could find, I needed to order some, were some Rayovac that were promised to be longer life. I hope so, because I was about to experience hanging the mirror. After putting in the batteries the mirror goes from heavy to unwieldy heavy. If you can, have someone around to help you. It is now an unbalanced nightmare to get this onto the mount and align the three screws to secure it to the mount. It took me a good long time to get this done alone and I was glad I wouldn’t have to do this again, hoping for a long battery life. Right. So the mirror is on my wall, a little higher than I’d like but I had to cover the old holes as I wasn’t painting any time soon. When I paint I’ll reposition it lower. It does look nice, beautiful if I may say. The light looks nice and does a good job of lighting up your face. So I’m good, right? Just enjoy using it, right? Not so fast. It’s the next day now and I’m in the use and test mode. Well, the testing phase didn’t last long. The next day I turned on the light and it didn’t. So now I have to remove it again, I’m getting better at it, and I removed and reinstalled the batteries and no light. I was able to organize a swap out with Amazon shipping and in a day I had another one. I moved the batteries and hung the new mirror on the old mount. Yeah, I’m really hating having to go through this to change the batteries but I have no plug option even if it is ugly. After swapping it out I went a week before writing this and the light is still working. I like the mirror, it moves easily but with good resistance. It’s not floppy in its movement and stays put. I hope it stays that way as there’s no adjustment. My old one had adjusting knob/screws but always came loose. I like this better if it stays tight. The light is to my eye very white, maybe 5000-6000K. I don’t need it for makeup so I’ll defer to those who do to see if it’s good for that. I like this mirror a lot and it’s a great replacement for my old one. It, to me, is very pricey and just should not have given me the trouble it did. It also, both the first failed and the second working, had gunk on them that I needed to clean off. At this price point, that should not be. Will the batteries last a long time, I dread forgetting to turn the light off. I hate having to deal with the removal to replace. I’d much rather have a smaller battery pack that would slide out the bottom for easy replacement. Maybe they can design in a hatch on the underside for it? It could be slimmer, too, it’s very thick. Dealing with the mirror I have versus the one I’d design this is a mixed reaction. I got to see two samples and had production gunk (rubber cement??) on both and a light fail in 24 hours. A very clumsy one person install which is needed every time to replace the batteries. An esthetically ugly solution for power from a plug is a non-option combine all that with a high price. This is difficult to fully recommend. If you need to have it installed, who will change the batteries or are you going to run the wire and have a loose long wire running in your bathroom? Will you only plug it in to use the light and hide the cord in between uses? It’s a mixed bag and it’s a mirror! If you can deal with changing the batteries or will run it on A/C, it’s a nice mirror if it works.

I previously owned a mirror that cost 3 times as much as this one. It was hard wired in my house so I left it when I moved. When I moved into a new place and found this mirror online, I figured what did I have to lose for $100+ so I ordered it . This mirror has been every bit as good as the one that I owned previously for a fraction of the price. It looks good, has held up and has functioned beautifully. My only complaint is that you can't change the bulb. It finally burned out (and I was way past a warranty). My husband wrote to the company to ask if we could send it back for repair. They said "yes" (which I was shocked about), we packed it up and sent it back. It's only been about a week and today a brand new mirror in the box arrived. Seriously? Who offers this type of service today? I am so happy! If you are considering this as a purchase don't hesitate...you will not be disappointed!

Great mirror. Sturdy, nice finish, has an AC adapter so I don't bother with batteries. The mirror is a nice large size so I can see all of my face. The led offers good lighting. Very happy with this purchase.

I looked at a lot of magnifying mirrors for a recent reno of two bathrooms. I bought one of these and then loved it so much that I bought a second for the other bathroom. I like the 10X magnifying side for makeup and the other normal side allows me to slant it to do the side and/or back of my hair in the main mirror. I also like the fact that it does not need a cord hanging down/plugged in. I put in the batteries before installation, and then charged the light using the provided adapter. I can now use the charger whenever it needs a new charge. It is very well made, solid and the appearance is very high quality. I am very satisfied!
