Pockets and quality!
I don't swim much but I can attest to these shorts running and biking comfort. They are true compression shorts unlike some of the cheaper bike shorts that are basically just a little tight rather than providing support and compression. Also they have several small pockets which are perfect for an mp3 player (recommend putting it in a small snack bag to protect it from sweat). These shorts have minimal padding (triathlon padding) which I prefer for both biking and running where the less padding the batter. As with most higher end bike shorts, these have rubber banded, non-slip hems on the bottom of the legs which very effectively keep them from slipping but maintain a comfortable ride/run. These are the best of the mid-priced bike shorts that I have tried (10 different brands) and I highly recommend them.

Fit well. Comfy. Functional. These are great for variety of activities.
I use these for Spin (Cycle) class and road bike riding as inner layer under athletic shorts, pants....or just wear these. They have a relatively thin, yet effective pad that doesnt wad up like some standard bike shorts. Have never had chafing, itching, or any other discomfort since wearing these. If I have any complaint it is they are pricey. Having said that, they are good quality construction and materials. My first pair looks near new and probably worn them 100+ days. Second pair I have probably 50 days on and they are perfect still. The old saying you get what you pay for applies. I dont mind paying the money if the product performs well and lasts a long time. Ditto on both here.

They fit great
They fit great and I love the pockets to put gu on. I had been using regular running shorts for my 6 mile runs, but now that I've ramped up to 10+ miles I need these shorts because I was getting chaffing using regular shorts. These look cool, love the pockets, and fit great... no chaffing!

I'm loving them so far
Only raced one Olympic and they held up very nicely. Been using them for training rides and runs mostly, I like the fit. I'm glad I went with large, I think med would have been to small. I have a 35 waist, 5' 9" tall, and put on a few pounds this year.

Good, not great.
I have used these for about a month now biking and jogging. Never went swimming in them. Some of the threads are coming loose on the inside. I also chafe when running in them. For biking, they seem to work really well and have good smooth compression throughout.

Better than my last tri shorts
These replaced some 2XU triathlon shorts that were 9" and bought from my local triathlon store. They were replace because they fell apart after too many chlorine pool swims. My take is these new ones are a thicker material with better constructed padding. Plus the small pockets for little things are fantastic. I've ridden many miles on my bike with them and I have no complaints.Bought size medium. I'm 6'1" and 170 lbs. Fit tight as they should, but not constricting.

Cycling shorys
The 9 inch shorts are more comfortable. But even so these are the best on the market I have not done any distance out of doors only in doors on a wind trainer for an hour and found them satisfactory for that

Great Bike Shorts, Horrible Running Shorts
I bought these for a 1/2 Ironman. I did some shorter runs (up to five miles) in them before race day, but never a full half-marathon. BIG mistake. The padding in the short is too big. After about mile six, the padding caused some of the worst chafing I've ever had in 24 years of triathlon. I wore them again a couple of weeks later for a 20 mile/six mile brick and same thing happened.I will keep them for biking, but will NEVER run in them again. 2XU blew it with these.

they are good quality and comfortable for long training hours
This is the fourth 2XU garment I purchase. Their sizing is different from their sizing chart. The shorts seem to be bigger and the tops smaller. Nonetheless, they are good quality and comfortable for long training hours.
