Stride Rite Summer Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

Perfect summer sandals for little girls. Bought a pair for my 3.5 year old daughter. They are comfortable, appropriate from casual to dressy. These are our "go-to" summer shoes, other than play shoes and water shoes. They will last the summer. The enclosed toe keeps active kiddos from getting hurt - vs. the various Stride-Rite open-toed sandals - if you stop off to the park to play or wherever the day takes you. These sandals look great with a summer dress or a pair of shorts and a tee. I haven't yet found an outfit of my daughter's they don't look good with. They do get dirty and scuffed up as the summer goes on, but they wipe off easily with a microfiber cloth and I keep white shoe polish on hand if it's needed. I will buy the same.exact.pair next summer. The buckle isn't functional, it's actually velcro underneath. My 3.5 year old can put on and take off the shoes herself without assistance. This is huge! And they stay on. Another big win. Get these!! You won't regret it. I would say these fit right between "as expected" and "somewhat small" - for Stride Rite. Her other pair of Stride Rites (sneakers) are 10W and they fit perfectly, she needed a 10.5W in these... the 10W she was almost hanging over the edge and I wanted the sandal to last the summer. However, she has had the 10W Stride Rite sneakers for a few months so they may have stretched a bit as she has grown?

I am a loyal SRT customer and buy several prs of them throughout the yr for my children. This is spot on with SRT sizing, their sizing if a little different than other shoe manuf. so I would suggest you download their shoe fit guide off their website to measure your child's foot to get the right fit. These are a cute classic fisherman style sandal. The shoe is leather and well made with a rugged outsole like other SRT shoes I've bought in the past. The buckle is for shoe as it really has a velcro closure which I appreciate for easy on/off by a child. The shoe details a small white flower in the center with accents of silver swirls and flowers. A very feminine and classic style. The foot bed is nice and cushiony which I have come to expect in all SRT shoes. Love this one!

I feel these run slightly a little bigger than other brands. But I did purchase them in wide width which my daughter needs & I love that they carry wide widths. They are very nice & pretty for little girls feet and very comfortable on her feet. I never have to worry about her sandal flying off & causing her to fall or her complaining that they hurt. I've learned for practicality & her being able to run & play without her shoes being an issue, this was the best pair of sandals so far. I've given up on cute thongs/flip flops that hurt her little feet or cause her to fall or allow her feet to get scraped up when I found these cute well made sandals. She's had a pair since she was 2 & is now 5 & still loves them.

This is our 'go-to' sandal for the summer months for both our daughters. One has regular-width feet, the other has wide feet and their corresponding width of sandals fits very well. This sandal is durable, easy for the child to put on/take off, goes with everything :-), and has the very important added bonus of being closed-toe! This is critical as most summer camps and daycare will not allow open-toed sandals. So, finding something that will last through the summer that my girls liked and found comfortable AND was closed-toe was important. Price is about $5 less expensive than at the Stride Rite Outlet, so a good purchase at Amazon.

We love stride rite shoes and these are perfect for the summer. I think these sandals might run a bit small so consider ordering half a size up. I had to exchange them from a 5 to a 5.5 to get the right fit for my daughter. I ordered in the WIDE option, but they are truly not very wide at all. They are wide enough to fit her comfortably but I dont see them significantly wider than any other shoe. If you child has really wide feet you may want to try the XW option. We bought these in white and they are super cute and go with all sorts of outfits. My daughter has worn them with pretty summer dresses as well as pants and shorts , they really do go with anything and my little one seems to be comfortable in them. I have included pictures of my little one in different outfits so that you can see how versatile they truly are..The closure on these shoes are velcro, making them quick to put on and take off, even my 20 month old enjoys putting them on. This is the 3rd pair of these I have bought. They are a great Summer shoe! They let your child's foot breath, but also protect little toes. My daughter has worn these on day long outings and never complained about her feet, so they must be comfortable. And her feet don't seem to sweat very bad or smell like in some sandals. Plus the look can either be dressy or casual depending on what outfit. Hold up great! Last years pair was worn almost daily and after a good scrub looked almost new at the end of use.

Finally, after trying about 10 pairs of other shoes (including another pair by this maker) we found something that fits our daughter the way it should and will be comfortable enough for alot of walking on a summer trip we are taking. These shoes are actually very nice. I wasn't thrilled with the white color, but the fact that they are leather, we can always clean and polish them as needed. Plus, white is such a neutral color....it is more ideal for taking with us on a vacation where we don't want to have too many shoes with us. Shipping was fast (as usual). Very happy with these shoes!
