Can I use this for drywall ?

Yes absolutely. It pays to start slowly in reverse to begin with until it starts the cut so the sharp teeth do not grab at the paper in the drywall and rip it sideways making a mess.

I assume the hole saws are steel. The description says aluminum?

They are not aluminum. If they were aluminum I would have destroyed them by now.

Is this going to be the same product as the picture, or is it going to be the new garbage version with a flimsy case that looks nothing like this?

My set was well made. Case is good. I dropped it off a lift accidentally from about 30 feet. It bounced a few time and took the hit. Bits are sharp they it blow through 2x4’s and metal framing. Clean cuts in drywall. I got mine in 2021. You should be good.
