2014 Insight 1 Performance Hybrid Bike with 700c Wheels

after about 50-100 miles the brakes started to notify everybody that I have arrived. I went to 2 different bike shops but they could not offer any solution. so i returned the bikes.

I bought a 2014 Diamondback Insight 1 Flatbar road bike from a bike store chain. At $400, I thought I was getting a great deal. I do mostly commuting and don't need a bike costing thousands. My commute isn't bad - mostly paved bike paths. Still, I've suffered 5 broken spokes in less than 4 months. This is a 32 spoke wheel so this shouldn't be happening. Because the bike makes a rubbing noise when I put my weight on it but not when spinning the wheel to check for brake rub, this probably means a bad wheel hub. This is my first Diamondback. For over 20 years, I've heard how good their bikes are. I'm not impressed. My el cheapo Walmart bike hasn't had a single broken spoke and I've ridden it hard.

I bought the Diamondback 2014 Insight 1 Performance Hybrid Bike, color white in the XL size at a local sporting goods store. I am 6 feet tall with a 32 inch inseam. The bike fits me perfectly. I wanted the best of a flat bar mountain bike with thin street tires and this bike does the job exactly for a perfect ride so I am not hunched over with drop handlebars. Bike is very light and the pedals are a little wider then usual and this is exactly what I wanted. In the future I will install a kick stand and luggage rack. It has a feel about it that says quality. Well worth the 4 bills I paid!

I've had this bike for 3 years (The 2011 Model) Its a great bike! Still riding on the original tubes. Really fast bike. The brakes do make some noise but i changed them and it went away.
